AGRITECH EU – DIGITAL AGRICULTURE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The project AGRITECH EU – Digital agriculture for sustainable development aims to create a European catalog of advanced training modules for experts in digital agriculture. The project includes a network of 13 international partners coordinated by the Department of Agricultural, Food and Agro-Environmental Sciences of the University of Pisa.
The AGRITECH EU project will strengthen agricultural education by integrating digital technologies. Through collaborative curriculum development and partnerships, the project seeks to equip future agricultural professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in a digitized agricultural landscape.
The AGRITECH EU project represents a joint effort aimed at accelerating the digital revolution in the agricultural sector while promoting sustainable practices. This initiative, co-funded by the European Union, brings together a consortium of universities, experts, researchers and industrial partners dedicated to promoting advances in digital agriculture for sustainable development.
The main objective of the AGRITECH EU project is:
design and implementation of higher education program(s) – master’s degree (at ISCED level 7 or equivalent):
- enrichment of existing bachelor’s and master’s studies
- development of related standalone modules/courses (online or in person)
- train digital transition specialists for farms and food companies, leading to recognized certifications.
These goals will be achieved by a European consortium of 7 higher education institutions, 5 companies and 1 research and excellence center.

Finish: 31. 12. 2027
